Hi everyone,
There's something here that might be of interest.
The European Commission has just published a survey it carried out into e-Accessibility, and has included a number of recommendations.
"The European Commission has the objective of achieving an information Society for all. Community action is needed to ensure the inclusion and participation of all Europeans as this will not happen by itself. In a forthcoming Communication, the Commission is proposing the use of several available instruments around three pillars:
1. Accessibility Requirements
2. Certification and Assessment
3. Explore legal measures
Comlementary actions include the following:
4. Foster Standardisation
5. Increase Skills
6. Design for all
7. Web accessibility
8. Raise awareness
9. Benchmark and monitor
10. Research and technological development"
