Hi

I refer to the RE the ICT Expo

The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) is a statutory body with responsibility for standards, education and training in the field of pre-hospital emergency care in Ireland. The Council currently has an in-house designed and maintained website www.phecc.ie <http://www.phecc.ie/> . The present website was designed principally as an interim communications tool.

PHECC have commenced reviewing and evaluating their E-strategy. Part of this review has concluded that the current website needs to be revised, updated and improved with increased functionality and compliant with industry best practice.

The new PHECC website should comply with

*	W3C - "AA" standards.

*	Recommended Guidelines for Public Sector Organisations - Department of the Taoiseach (1999)

*	International best practice and standards

You are invited to contribute to this design process. It is envisaged that the re-design of the PHECC website will be progressed as follows.

*	Expression of Interest - PHECC will contact various web design companies in relation to an expression of interest.

*	Engagement/Scoping phase - Website design companies will meet with PHECC to outline their expertise and draft proposals.

*	Tender Phase - A tender competition will be conducted for the creation of the new website, tender evaluation and award.

*	Relevant Dates

*	Expression of Interest                             - 30 April 2005

*	Engagement/Scoping phase                   - 31 May 2005

*	Tender phase                                         - 17 June 2005

*	Tender completion/award                        - 30 June 2005

*	Website Operational                               - 1 September 2005

Should your organisation be interested in participating in this expression of interest process with a view to developing and submitting a tender for the development of this website, please register your interest by e-mail.
