Hi,
I wonder did anyone else get the email below?
I asked donal Rice and he said it is genuine, but nothing to do with the NDA.
Even if it is genuine, it seems a little strange to me that they would make such an approach without a proper introduction. Without someone like donal to ask, this would have gone straight in the bin without a second thought. I certainly would not click on the web address.
Wat do others think? Have I become too paranoid?
Take care,
Gerry Ellis

How will you know when you get there?

Subject: Survey regarding your participation with the NDA IT guidelines
Dear Gerry Ellis,
A survey is being conducted to gather opinions of people who were involved
in the production of, content of, and/or maintenance of a number of
universal/inclusive design resources for information and communications
technologies. All people involved in the creation of the Irish National
Disability Authority IT Accessibility Guidelines for Public Access Terminals
(http://www.accessit.nda.ie/technologyindex_2.html) resource have been
invited to participate. If you were involved in the creation of other NDA IT
guidelines, please note that this survey concerns ONLY the work you did on
the Public Access Terminals Guideline.
The aims of the researchers are to understand in greater detail the process
of production of universal design resources in order to inform the design of
future resources. Therefore, your participation may indirectly benefit
people with functional limitations, disabilities and people who are aging
with the results gained from this research.
This survey is being conducted by researchers at the University of Maryland,
Baltimore County, sponsored by the Georgia Tech Research Corporation and
funded by the US Department of Education.
The survey should take only about a half hour to complete. If you choose to
participate, please use your personal password "e51248gl" and click on the
following link to start the survey:

A prompt response would be very much appreciated as the deadline is Sunday,
December 11th, 2005.
If you would prefer to decline this invitation, please send a reply to that
effect so that we can take your name off of our follow-up list.
With many thanks for your consideration,
