Subject: Call for input on the forthcoming review of the EU regulatory framework for electronic communications and services
Dear Members, Observers and Experts,
We would like to inform you about THE CALL FOR INPUT on the forthcoming review of the EU regulatory framework for electronic communications and services including review of the Recommendation on relevant markets
Deadline: Monday 31 January 2006
The EU regulatory framework for electronic communications aims to encourage competition in the electronic communications markets, to improve the functioning of the single market and to guarantee basic user interests that would not be guaranteed by market forces. The framework provides a set of rules that are simple, aimed at deregulation, technology neutral and sufficiently flexible to deal with fast changing markets in the electronic communications sector.
The Commission Services (DG Information Society and Media) invites interested parties to give their views on the Review of the regulatory framework for electronic communications and on possible changes to the Recommendation on relevant markets.
