Hi Folks -

Below please find a message from Gerry Ellis, and associated
attachments. The normal practice on irl-dean is not to circulate
large attachments (which is partly why Gerry passed it to me to
consider forwarding). In this particular case, given the
importance and urgency of the issue, I though it was appropriate
to make an exception to our normal rule.

Best regards,

- Barry.

Subject: Dept. of Communications Sectoral Plan

Hi, Barry,

As you know, 6 Government Departments have to produce Sectoral Plans by
the end of July under requirements of the Disability Act 2005.

I have met with the Dept. of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources
a few times under the auspices of the DLCG on behalf of PWDI.

The Dept. put its draft Plan out for public comment, with replies to be
back by noon on June 20th.

I have attached the draft Plan and the PWDI response that I wrote. The
response is not cofidential as I understand they are about to put it on
their web site.

I am not sure if I can send these to the IrlDean list from here in work.
Can you do this, today if possible? Do you think there is time for IrlDean
to do some sort of submission, time being so short? I would have thought
that this Department is the one that most interests IrlDean.

I understand that the consultation period for Transport has already
closed. I don't know about the others.

Take care,

Gerry Ellis
