Yeah sorry I really meant that they obviate styles altogether by applying
formatting, such as making a heading normal size and then assuming it is a
paragraph. I'm specifically thinking of the last document I looked at where
each item in a bulleted list was a level 1 heading but the formatting had
been changed to make it look like normal text.

I agree people may not like the removal of functionality though. Especially
in the case of 'productivity' features like format painter - which I admit I
(used to) love!
