[Irl-dean] handover

Hugh,
a special thank you from myself for helping with the transition and of
course all the work that has gone into this over the years.
Just to reiterate where we are with the handover.We are in the process of
organising a dedicated server for the list and transferring it over.  We are
also looking into the possibility of enhancing the interface to the admin
part of the list - in particular I'm eager to see if we can make the
archives more searchable.  Later in the year I will look at the
possibilities of further enhancements.

Will keep you all informed of progress.

As for now it is "business as usual".  I will endeavour to post pertinent
information to the list from the variety of sources I am involved with -
similar to what Hugh has always done.
I would encourage all regular and infrequent users to keep up their
contributions to the list - personally I have always found it invaluable and
continue to rely on the expertise and experience of the list members to keep
myself informed.  I'd be in the dark without it!
