Hi Claude,

> That'll be a major blow for FF.

It could be. Either way, the stakes are well and truly raised for
browser manufacturers, in particular multi process support and other
under the hood improvements could make it a winner in terms of
stability, speed and its inherent ability to deal with online web
applications as this is a core feature in its design.

FF has gained a major share of users desktops over the past couple of
years but they just don't have the visibility/volume/punch that Google
have. I have just read the Comic that explains the mechanics of how the
new browser will work. It's a little technical but well worth a read. I
have to say I am impressed. If it lives up to its promise it will be a
very major contender to the crown of default browser for many users. [1]

The comic has no alternate description or textual equivalent but an
overview can be found here (I sent this earlier). [2]

Anyway, the download isn't active yet, so we shall see. [3]

Cheers

Josh
