I'm with Barry on the multi-part pages. It's bad on How Stuff Works
<http://science.howstuffworks.com/terror-alert-level.htm>
- but at least there you can select the print version to get all the text
on one page.
That arstechnica approach - with no single-page option - is really annoying.
On Dónal's initial query, I usually use Notetab
<http://www.notetab.com/>
to add basic tagging, encode HTML entities, etc and then add CSS with a
combination of search and replace and manual work.
That's not much help for long and complex Word documents, I'm afraid, but it
works well for short ones.
