Hi all

The following might be of interest to some on the list.

I just spotted this article in Le Monde (French newspaper) about a new
library in Paris designed for Visually Impaired people. There is both audio
and images, so if you are not visually impaired and don't speak French, you
might get something. If you are visually impaired and do not speak French, I
remember that Gerry's French is actually very good [smile].

The library has 20,000 titles in Braille, 2,500 audio books, 2,000 books
printed in large letters and 150 movies in audiovision.

It is located in the centre of Paris and opened on 12 January 2009. 12 out
of the 18 staff are visually impaired. There are approximately 60 visitors a
day.

Kind regards
