I still haven't been able to play with (sorry, research) the iPhone 3G S
and its accessibility features. I did enjoy Marco Zehe's blog post about
using one [1]. Marco is the accessibility QA for Mozilla.

I think this is great news. With the iPhone now having these AX
features built-in, as researchers we can start to port features and
apps previously only seen on the desktop to a mobile context. As
there's an AX API we're also not wasting time re-writing basic
features such as a screen-reader or screen magnifier.

Coupled with the built in GPS and digital compass, it makes previous
devices such as the Trekker (http://adaptivetech.net/products/trekker.htm
) seem a bit redundant.

Exciting stuff, I'm looking forward to seeing a new generation of
accessible apps emerge for the iPhone platform.

Graham.
