Hi,
You can read a blog article, ridiculing this device, by one respected
person in the AT community below (1). Personally I have to
wholeheartedly agree with his points. Imagine hselling out 1500 dollars
for a device which doesn't do anything more than existing products already
do. I have the KNFB Reader on my phone and it does all that this product
from Intel does. It cost 1 third of the price and it goes on my phone (thus
no extra device to carry around).

Intel have released a device called "Reader" that reads printed text aloud
and displays it in large fonts on a screen. It plays MP3 files, DAISY books,
and text files as well [1].
It's good to see such a large company producing assistive technology with
that level of versatility.
