Hi y'all,
This may be of interest.
Cheers
Josh
HELLO!
Welcome to this, the first edition of Arts & Disability Ireland's
e-Bulletin for
2010! This bi-monthly e-Bulletin aims to keep you up-to-date on all the
goings on
at ADI, as well as providing you with a plethora of art, culture and
ideas inspired
by disability from Ireland and further afield.
Here at Arts & Disability Ireland, we're keeping our New Years
resolutions and kick-starting
year with two exciting projects: Turning Point, a new writing initiative
for artists
with a disability in partnership with Fishamble: The New play Company;
and we welcome
the Oska Bright Film Festival to axis, Ballymun. We also have some
information about
Arts & Disability Irelands forthcoming programme of Audio Described and
Captioned
Performances at the Abbey Theatre.
For those who made it along to our 2-day international conference
Outside In in
December, we'd like to say a big thank you for your contribution in
making the conference
a thought-provoking, inspirational and thoroughly engaging event.
We're currently trawling our way through 18 hours of film footage, over
300 photographs
and page upon page of text transcripts to bring you a flavour of the
presentations,
discussion and debates that took place over the course of the
conference. Keep an
eye on the Arts & Disability Ireland website over the coming weeks and
months where
we will be posting Outside In conference highlights for your delectation!

Fishamble and Arts & Disability Ireland are seeking artists with a
disability to
write new short theatre pieces for a new writing initiative entitled
Turning Point.
A selection of short pieces of writing for the stage will be presented

This is an opportunity for artists with disabilities to develop a short
