Yes ... so the point to be clear about is that machine
transcription can be of perfectly adequate quality to allow some
useful indexing yet still be of little or no value for
comprehension. That said, google have achieved significant
advances in this kind of domain, so while I'm not holding my
breath I am looking forward to seeing just how well or badly it
performs in practice (for comprehension, not search - the latter
is a given...).
