FWIW, this approach has proven not to work more often than not. I am not 
saying /don't/ contact them (in fact go for it!) but we have seen many 
times, that without the initial will to do something about the problem 
unfortunately inertia often seems to prevail.

However, it can also be said that unless they know there /is/ a problem 
in the first place, how can they be expected to fix it?

Mark is probably writing something along these lines as we speak :-)
